Enrolled in a graduate program

Demonstrate interest in the plastics industry by
majoring in a course beneficial to a career in plastics and attendance at SPE
events
�
Must be in good academic standing
�
GPA better than a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
�
Submit a (minimum of) three-page statement
containing
o
why you are applying for the scholarship
o
your qualifications, and
o
how
your study of plastics will contribute to your immediate and/or long-range
career goals.
�
Three recommendation letters
o
Two from teachers and/or school officials
o
One from an employer or non-relative working in
the plastics industry
�
A demonstration project
o
White Paper with hypothesis and data to support
findings, or
o
Working prototype of a
�
Plastic Material, or
�
Equipment
�
Molding, or
�
Compounding
�
A completed application form
All submissions received prior to (or having a postmark date by) 5:00
p.m. CST on the "submission date," will be reviewed by the Upper Midwest Section
Scholarship Committee.� If a winner is identified,
they will be notified by e-mail and invited to an SPE event where the recipient will receive a $1,000 (USD)
scholarship award and a certificate.
